The Bakken Classic Club is a conservation committee of the Foundation that helps raise money for habitat, wildlife and outdoor access projects throughout the state. Members of the club participate in a fishing tournament each year to raise awareness about these and other projects. The tournament was started in 2013 and has raised more than $70,000 for projects. Funds have been used to help the Mule Deer Foundation, Pheasants Forever, the Fingal Wildlife Club, and the Planting for the Future Tree Habitat Program, among others.

Bakken Classic Club members get first priority in the Bakken Classic Fishing Derby, a charity tournament to raise money for projects that promote outdoor access, habitat and more.

The Bakken Classic Fishing Derby is a charity fishing tournament held in July of each year at the Four Bears Casino Marina near New Town, ND.

The 4 Bears Walleye Cup fishing tournament registration is now open. Claim your spot before the tournament is full! New Town, ND Boundaries: Payouts based on a 80 Boat field.This fishing tournament on beautiful Lake Sakakawea is limited to 150 teams for a total prize pool of $50,000! 1st 4 Bears Casino & Lodge Walleye Cup 2018 Walleye Cup presented by 4 Bears Casino & Lodge. Here are the tournament dates for next year. June 12, 2021 Spirit Lake Casino & Resort. July 10, 2021 Grand River Casino & Resort. August 7, 2021 4 Bears Casino & Lodge. September 11, 2021 Prairie Knights Casino & Resort. September 25, 2021 Big Show-Grand River Casino & Resort. Casino Cup Walleye Circuit. Four dates and four great tournaments for a chance to win $12,000! The Cherokee Fly-Fishing Championship is limited to 40 anglers. Anglers will compete for the biggest trout, cash prizes, fishing gear, and an annual EBCI fishing permit (one per tournament). The top 24 advance to the championship finale on April 18-19, 2020 for a chance to win $3,000. When: Saturday, December 21 to Sunday, December 22.

The Bakken Classic is limited to 100 three-person teams. Participants must be members of the Bakken Classic Club, which is $100 per person. Proceeds for the tournament go toward conservation and outdoor heritage projects.

Registration for the 2021 Bakken Classic will open in May.

Planting for the Future is a habitat and conservation program that provides trees and shrubs for large-scale planting projects to private landowners, city and county parks, and others interested in building habitat for the future.

TEACHER EDUCATION SEMINAR

This seminar offers educators the opportunity to earn continuing education credits while learning about the oil industry, touring a rig and other oilfield facilities, ideas to take back to the classroom.

NORTH DAKOTA ENERGY EDUCATION

The ND Energy Education program offers free educational tools, resources and seminars to both students and teachers to help them learn more about North Dakota's oil and natural gas industry and explore energy in STEM.

AL GOLDEN SCHOLARSHIP

Named after North Dakota oil pioneer, the Al Golden Scholarship awards a $2,000 scholarship each year to up to nine students pursuing post-secondary education or training in an energy-related field.

RULES: Must be 21 or older to play. Must be a Gold Club member, have valid photo ID and be present to win. Winners must claim prizes within two (2) minutes or prizes will be forfeited and another name will be drawn. Grand River employees are not eligible to participate in promotions. Grand River reserves the right to modify or cancel any promotion and use all photos in future publications and for advertising purposes.

Four Bears Casino Fishing Tournament

Don’t miss the Grand River Casino and Resort Walleye Tournament presented by Ranger Boats. With a guaranteed $12,000 first place prize, avid anglers could be reeling in more than just fish at this year’s walleye tournaments at Grand River Casino and Resort, Spirit Lake Casino and Resort, Four Bears Casino and Lodge and Prairie Knights Casino and Resort!
100 three-member teams will fish in each tournament for the bragging rights and cash prizes. The entry fee of $350 per team puts you in the hunt for the wily walleye, sauger or saugeye.
Overnight accommodations are available at each property.
